Mein Buch über das Gestalten mit Blütenfarben.

In jeder Blüte findet sich eine natürliche Farbgebung, die uns inspirieren kann zu floristischen Arbeiten. Wer je nicht wusste, wie er interessante Farbkombinationen finden kann, der schaue einfach eine Blüte genau an und gestalte ein Werkstück mit den Farben, die er dort findet! Oder mit den Farbproportionen, die er dort findet. Ein simples und doch sehr detailliertes Vorgehen, das in diesem Buch beschrieben wird. Auf das Erkennen und Wiederholen von Blütenfarben folgt das Weiterführen zu erweitertem Farbgestalten, das Rückführen auf die Grundfarbe, das Colour Jumping, das Pontillisieren.

Farbe ist eines der ausdrucksstärksten visuellen Gestaltungsmittel – nicht nur für Floristen. Während allerdings andere Gestaltungsdisziplinen die Farbeindrücke der Natur umsetzen müssen, um sie auf ihre Werkstoffe zu übertragen, können die Floristen direkt mit der unendlichen Vielfalt des Naturangebots arbeiten.

Sieht man genau hin, finden sich in den Blüten – auch in denen, die wir zunächst einmal für ein- oder zweifarbig halten – neben den Hauptfarben meist noch viele farbige Details. Man entdeckt mit einem Mal Farbverläufe, Trübungen und Aufhellungen, Farbkontraste oder -nuancen, die man vorher kaum vermutet hätte. Da ist immer ein Stängel – meist mit Blättern – in den unterschiedlichsten Grüntönen. Stempel und Staubbeutel weisen überraschend andere Farben als die Blütenblätter auf. So präsentiert eine einzelne Blume oft eine ganze Palette an Farben, mit denen sich dann florale Werkstücke farblich gestalten lassen.
Die Natur als Gestaltungshilfe. Genau darauf wollen die Autoren aufmerksam machen, indem sie anregen, genau hinzuschauen, Details zu entdecken, Farben zu entschlüsseln und in einem ersten Schritt zu wiederholen, um dann im zweiten Schritt systematisch gestalterisch Einfluss zu nehmen.

Gabriele Kubo hat 45 Werkstücke gefertigt, die auf der sorgsamen Definition der Farben einzelner Blüten basieren. Alle Arbeiten sind nachvollziehbar beschrieben, so dass das spannende Prinzip der Gestaltung mit Blütenfarben deutlich wird

My book about the designing with  blossom colours.

In each blossom we find a natural colour composition, which can inspires us for a floral design. If you are on the search for a beautiful color combination, just take an intense look at a blossom and then design an arrangement accoding to these colours. Or according to the colour proportions you can find there.A simple though very detailed process.

After recognizing and repeating of a blossom colour there is the way of continuing into widened colour design, the reducing towards the pure colour, the colour jumping, the scattering.

Colour is one of the most expressive visual design elements - not only for florists. While other design disciplines must absorb the colour impressions of nature in order to transfer them to their materials, florists may work directly with the infinite diversity of what nature has to offer.

If one looks closely, blossoms - even those that we think at first consist only of one or two colours, in fact usually contain many detail colours in addition to the main colours. Suddenly colour gradations, clouded or dulled colours or lightened colours appear, and there are colour contrasts or nuances that one would hardly have suspected. There will always be a stem – usually with leaves - in the most diverse shades of green. Pistil and stamen will be seen to have surprisingly different colours than the petals. Thus, a single flower often presents an entire colour pallet with which it is worth designing, or which can be easily used as a starting point for creating an arrangement or a bouquet.

Nature as design aid. This is exactly what the authors want to draw attention to, by encouraging the reader to look closely, to discover details, to decipher colours and to repeat them in a first step, and then, in a second step, to take systematic influence on the design.

Gabriele Kubo has produced 45 arrangements based on the careful definition of the colours of individual blossoms. All the arrangements are described in a way so as to make the designs easily replicable, and in such a manner as to bring out the exciting underlying design principles of designing with the colours of blossoms.
